Blogging Again

New Years is all about deciding once again to try and do the things you always intended to do. And on that note I have dusted off the old art book and resolved to do creative things once again. In an age where everything cries out for attention, mind space and time for me it is true discipline to actually do the things I love.

I begin the New Year with  three simple beautiful things.
Books, garages and a hot air balloon.

Happy New Year.

Going Visual with it & questionnaire: FMP (final major project)

Some more quick snapshots from my sketchbook. These pages are all about some quick visual responses to my research I have been collecting. Whether that meant collecting, images, colours or textures.

Also been looking at the answers to the questionnaire that I set up online. Some really interesting answers to get me thinking!

Final Major Project: Educating myself about home

Lots & lots & lots of reading to begin my project.
Educating myself as to what is a 'home'.
Researched travellers, refugee camps, communes and squatters,
in order to broaden my mind and to move away from my own ideas of what a home is.
I've enjoyed reading but the next challenge will be taking these ideas into something visual.

Life Drawing in Stitch

Scanning in a bit of olf work and came across these. 30 second sketchs from a life drawing session, which I then attacked with a bit of stitch.

Scrap Book: Visiting Presents

I've started a scrap book for a friend I am visiting this weekend. Putting things in it that I think she would love and leaving blank bits to be filled with her scribbles.

I've put in cuttings from magazine's, beautiful photography, texture paper, lined paper and plain paper. I hope it inspires her.
