Watery moments: Photography

 I was searching through some of my old files and stumbled across these photos.

They were taken along a river in Somerset, July 2010. The colours, textures and patterns in them are really beautiful. They are very peacful and gentle. It was a nice suprise finding these!

3 Pencils: Crafty Bags

Back to work again after the Easter break. Nothing makes me feel more like an art student than these bags, that I've been designing and making. I am using one of them to carry my A3 sketchbook in this morning (it is crazy how hard it is trying to find a bag big enough for an A3 sketchbook!)

 

Visting Presents

Visiting friends this weekend. I always like to take a little gift to say thank you, even if I am just sleeping on the sofa! This time it was gathering some chocolates, brushing up on my origami skills and a bit of stitching on a label. Yes it is a tiny box, but it is the thought that counts with these things though right?

Button covered: Craft

 And so my love of jam jar like containers continues!

These have had buttons and ribbons glued on them. Good for storing bits and bobs or burning tea lights in.I love the blues and greens. I managed to find just enought buttons to cover them! Then it was a good excuse to go buy some new ribbon to match!

Lace coverd jars: Craft

 So I've gotten very interested in jam jars recently and have been collecting and experimenting with them! 

Here are some lace covered with buttons and ribbon ones!

They are all priced and packaged up as I took them to a craft fair and popped them on a friends stall. Unfortunetatly they all ended up coming home with me too! However another friend has says she had a use for them, so they may end up being an Easter present. 

I think they would look best with a posie of fresh flowers or a handful of daffodils.

Storage Bunting: Craft

 I had a go a making some bunting as a present for a friend. They turned into storage bunting, pocket bunting.

I  made it from denim with lighter denim spots and ribbon ties.

I thought it would be ideal for storing bits and bobs, your phone, ipod etc... when camping.

Easter Chick Bag: Craft

Something for the Easter holidays! An applique Easter chick with button eyes sewed onto a canvas bag. It fairly big, filling a 38 by 43 cm bag. Currently hanging on the back of the door, holding magazines and newspapers, giving that Easter feeling in the lounge!
